Digital Signage Catches Eyes at the Staten Island Green & Clean Expo
published onApril 18, 2011

Gearing up for their Earth Week initiative to promote green audiovisual solutions, JD Pro recently attended the Staten Island Green and Clean Expo, presented by the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation.

The audiovisual systems integrator’s digital signage display, which included four LED screens in horizontal and vertical orientations and a PC running Tightrope Media digital signage software caught the attention of expo attendees as it displayed facts about green AV technology, with a focus on the benefits of HDTVs, LED lighting and Crestron control systems for home and commercial use.

For instance:

    • When you put your home’s lighting and thermostats on a Crestron whole home control system, you’ll save as much as 10% on your home energy bills.
    • If you upgrade to an LED HDTV (from an old-school tube television), you’ll reduce the amount of energy used by about 1/3.
    • JD Pro can professionally calibrate your newly installed LED HDTV for even greater energy savings.

The JD Pro team came home from the event inspired and excited by the response of Green and Clean Expo organizers, attendees, and even other exhibitors. We look forward to the next SIEDC Green and Clean event, where we intend to raise the bar on our show presentation with an even more extensive (and impressive) AV demonstration.
