Furman will be introducing its Contractor Series line of power sequencers, the CN-1800S and CN-2400S SmartSequencers at the INFOCOMM Show in Las Vegas. Designed specifically for commercial apps (which means it might be overkill for your home theater system), these strips combine AC power distribution, protection, filtration and sequential system power on/off in a mere 1RU, 120VAC unit.
If you have non-techies running your audio video systems (for instance, in a sports bar, restaurant or nightclub), these sequencers make it as easy as it can get. Press one button or turn a key and its done, even if your venue has multiple zones for audio and video. Bi-directional communications between installed units means a primary unit can control and sequence multiple secondary units. The units are connected via current loops, with potential runs of more than 1,000 feet. The Contractor Series sequencers are backwards compatible with Furman’s legacy sequencers as well as third-party products, making them perfect for audiovisual upgrades or equipment replacements.
Other features of the CN-1800S an CN-2400S SmartSequencers:
- Equipped with RS-232 ports and command sets for PC control or integration with Crestron, Stardraw and other control systems
- Optional RS-232-to-Ethernet adaptor adds IP-addressibility for control, programming and monitoring across any Internet-enabled device, including Panamax/Furman’s BlueBOLT hosted remote power and energy management platform
- eight rear-panel outlets and one front-panel outlets in four duplex outlet banks
- Three of the four banks are capable of being sequenced on and off with an adjustable delay
For flexibility of control and reliability, trust the new Furman Contractor Series Smart Sequencers in your commercial audiovisual project.
