JD Systems Goes Green (And Clean!)
published onMarch 3, 2011

Newsflash: That new flat panel HDTV not only looks great in your family room and saves space — it’s also way more energy efficient than that old tube TV that needed three people to carry it out to the curb.

Okay, so it’s not probably not news to most JD Systems.tv readers that plasma, LED and LCD TVs are more energy efficient than older tube models. But we want to make sure all of Staten Island knows it too. We also want to share some little-known facts about how whole home control systems can save you hundreds of dollars a year on your energy bills.

That’s why we’ll be attending the Green and Clean Expo, presented by the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, on March 10, 2011. The event is going on from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at The Vanderbilt at South Beach.

JD Systems will join other Staten Island business owners to share ideas on green living, showcase green technology solutions and discuss Staten Island’s pending Green Zone legislation.

Topics that will be covered at the Expo include:

  • Energy efficiency
  • Recycling
  • Green building
  • Solar power
  • Cooling and heating energy-saving solutions

The event is free and open to the public. Stop by the JD Systems booth to learn about greener living through audio video systems and whole home automation, including energy-efficient solutions for your home theatre, lighting, heating and cooling systems and more.
