We just about recovered from Orlando, posted vids of some cool new products introduced at InfoComm 2011, put the finishing touches on a few projects, and now the JD Systems team is on the road again. This time, we don’t have far to travel, as we attend the Bar X Conference and National Accounts Event, held Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Javits Center in New York City.
In addition to networking with bar owners and finding out more about what New York sports bar owners want, JD Systems’ Jonathan Joyce will be a panelist with other tech experts discussing “Facilities/Technology: What’s New and What’s In It For You?”
What IS New in NY Sports Bar Audio Video Technology and How Can It Increase Your Profits?
These are questions every restaurant, bar or retail owner wants to hear the answers to. And if you’re looking into digital signage systems, flat screen monitors, or DirecTV in your sports bar, nightclub or lounge, the answer is “a lot.” But just hanging a cable box behind a flat screen monitor limits your options. Today’s matrix switching technology provides endless possibilities for promotions and content in your venue.
When and Where
The Bar X Conference and National Accounts Event takes place at the Javits Center in New York City, and starts Monday, June 27 at noon. Click here to view the entire Bar X agenda.
The event finishes up with the Bar Excellence Awards, presented at Stout NYC (33rd St. between 6th and 7th) at 6:30 PM on Monday. Frankie Edgar, UFC Lightweight Champion, will be there to join the party.
Why It’s Cool
Six different informational sessions promise that bar owners will leave with innovative ideas and inspiration related to best practices in operations, marketing and technology. The technology panel starts at 2:15 PM in Room B, with hosts Andrew Jaffe of Bar X; David Weinfeld of Screen Reach; and Jonathan Joyce of JD Systems.
Jonathan will be demonstrating an actual, easy-to-use video matrix switcher from Knox Video. Installed in restaurants, nightclubs, retail outlets, bars and more, a video matrix system permits venues to select from a broad range of video inputs, including DirecTV, cable, DVD/Blu-Ray, Digital signage, computers, game systems like XBox or PS3, cameras, computers and more. Send the video source to any screen in a venue — behind a bar, in the bathrooms, anywhere you have a screen.
