Staten Island Celebrates Sound Attitude Pre-Grand Opening
published onDecember 2, 2013

We were all set to blow our own horns a little and tell you what makes our retail location, Sound Attitude, special.

Sound Attitude is not a new location…. JD Systems owner Jak Daragjati used to work here even before his DJ days. But it is under new management, now a joint venture between Daragjati and Frank Provenzano of Pro-Sho, a supplier of sound equipment for live events.

We were all set to tell you how we’re filling a unique niche here on Staten Island, providing the parts you can’t get at big box stores for do-it-yourself home theater guys and systems integrators alike.

We were going to talk about our customer service, and how we can help you design your dream home theater system and send you on your way with all the gear you need to make it work. We’ll just say this: There’s nothing “geeky” about our service.

Then we were going to tell you about our pre-Grand Opening celebration, which attracted members of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, Partners in Sound Productions, a host of Staten Island business people, local and national media, and family and friends for food and fun. And balloons. Of course. Every grand opening needs balloons.

We were even going to explain why it’s a pre-grand-opening: Our inventory, while the store looks pretty stocked to most shoppers’ eyes, isn’t where we want it to be. We’ll have even more, and we’re going to present it in an even bigger way.

We’ll pull out all the stops and throw a real party, Staten Island style, in the warmer weather. Because really, who wants to go to a tent sale when the wind chill is below freezing, right?

Then, before we could say a word, our friend, Ted Greene, wrote this awesome blog post that is as good as a feature you’d read in a magazine. He made us feel like celebs. Ted, we can’t even tell you how much we appreciate your time, effort and attention to detail. What’s more, he published it in record time, scooping us ON OUR OWN EVENT! (Hey, it’s cool.) All that’s left to say is our Thank Yous, and the Sound Attitude team would like to thank:

– The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce
– Crazy About Cakes’ Jackie Scarcella
– Partners in Sound Productions
– Our family, friends and everyone who has supported and continues to support Sound Attitude
– Ted Greene and the other media inside and outside the audiovisual industry who showed up for our ribbon-cutting ceremony

And, straight from the JD Systems offices on Main Street, here are some more photos from the event. Why not stop by our store on Arthur Kill Road and see it for yourself?

What’s a celebration without cake? Thanks to Jackie Scarcella of Crazy About Cakes for this chocolate delight!
